If God Builds It - They Will Come

Square WheelsAt East Gates, we don’t like to re-invent the wheel. Jesus Christ said, “...my yoke is easy and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:30).  When you are working within God’s will, God makes your paths smooth and straight (Proverbs 3:6).  It’s not that you will not have challenges.  Living in a fallen world, there will always be spiritual warfare and obstacles to confront and overcome but working in God’s resurrection power and grace, the seemingly impossible becomes possible (Luke 1:37).  That’s why our motto is, “Seeing Beyond the Impossible.”

Over the past 20 years, our present China staff has worked faithfully and steadfastly in building an extensive network with Chinese Christian leaders, believers and churches (registered and unregistered) throughout China.  It is based on mutual trust, respect and friendship.  As most people know who work within the Asian culture, relationships or guanxi, is very important.  Since we are respected at the highest Chinese governmental tiers all the way down to the grassroots level, East Gates is uniquely positioned to accomplish much for the Lord.  Here are just a few examples.

Bible Delivery

Bibles

A week before last Christmas, a Chinese ministry in the United States wanted to know if we could help them deliver 500 Bibles, 500 gospel tracts and 500 Christmas cards to a university professor in Chongqing, Sichuan Province.  In a week, everything was delivered to the professor in a professional and timely manner and at a discounted price!

Churches

Chinese ChurchJust recently, an individual wanted to help build a church in China for $2000.

He contacted a friend of East Gates and in a week we located a congregation in Liuhe County, Jiangsu Province with just that need.  As you can see, a lot can be built for $2000.  East Gates encourages the local members to also contribute so they can appreciate how the Lord will bless the work of their hands as well.  The church will be completed soon and we’ve all been invited to attend the opening celebration.  Another US church would like to bless a Chinese congregation in this way as well.  Over the past 15 years, East Gates has built, subsidized and renovated hundreds of churches and meeting places.  You may request a copy of our past church building projects and if you’re interested in “Adopting a Church in China” to build or renovate, please contact us.

If you understand whom Jesus truly was and what mattered to Him most, then it’s much easier to understand who YOU are and what should matter to you the most.

Prayers are priceless but it also takes funds to help build the Body of Christ in China.  If you’ve always wanted to be involved in a mission project and wanted to make an eternal life-changing difference in someone’s life, then here is your chance.  Just give us a call or email us and we’ll be glad to help.  At East Gates, your gift is one that keeps on giving.

Training and Training Materials

Jesus said, “The harvest is great but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest” (Matthew 9:37-38).  East Gates continually prays this prayer and God consistently answers.  He has also commissioned us to produce quality materials the workers can use (see books and CD below).  They are bearing good fruit.  If you would like to order any of these products, please contact us.

We received this email from a believer in Dallas, TX whose family helps builds schools in China–

Thanks for sending me CDs and Dr. Graham’s sermons in English.  My parents’ spiritual eyes are opening up wide and clear.  My mom was not able to see for almost 7 years, and my dad lost his hearing about l2 years ago.  Both are in their late 80’s.  While my father reads Dr. Graham’s sermons every day, my mom listens to the CDs over and over again.  This spiritual food not only feeds their souls, but also gives them comfort and courage in their daily living.  Thank God for bringing you into my life at the right time for His purpose in my life...
